Black-tailed Deer

Our Black-tail deer hunts take place in southern Oregon in Jackson County. We are known to have some of the largest deer in the pacific northwest. All of the hunts for Black-tail deer take place on Private and Public lands. Rifle & archery deer tags are over the counter. We target 110"-130" bucks. We do have larger deer but they get big for a reason!

Types of Black-tail hunts and pricing:

Spot and Stalk:

Spot and Stalk hunting for black-tail can be very effective. Usually it involves hiking to a vantage point and glassing the terrain to find the deer. Black-tail can be very hard to see and good glass is recommended.

Sitting over Bait:

Travel Corridors:

Positioning the hunter in a location where the deer move

between bedding and feed can be very effective. Our guides        spend many hours scouting locations to optimize your hunt.

Sitting over bait also can be an effective way to hunt Black-tail. Baiting is legal in Oregon and when done right can bring in deer consistently.
